....this metallic trend we're loving at the moment: decorating with trophies! Scoop up these vintage silver cups (above, at left) at FOUND by domestic bliss now, or get into this winning trend by scoring some trophy-inspired decor like this sweet double-handled gold cup (above, at right). Nothing gives you a bit of a championship buzz like walking into a room and seeing a trophy--or two, or three, or five!--displayed proudly on a shelf. Use them as bookends, floral vases, kitchen utensil holders, a catchall for office odds & ends like paper clips or pencils, or even an elegant container for small soaps. Don't be afraid to mix your metals here, because whether you take home the gold, silver, bronze, copper or platinum......this look always wins major points for style!

Tablescape Inspiration....Try Some Playful Polka Dots!

One of our current obsessions is......PLAYFUL POLKA DOTS! We're all about the way they seem to dance around in a space, adding texture without weighing the room down with heavy, traditional patterns. Polka dots are as light-hearted as a bunch of balloons, as effervescent as the bubbles in champagne....and they never fail to make us smile.

 This polka dot-inspired tablescape in FbDB is one of our favorites, showcasing lovely dotted serving papers from Hester & Cook and ever-so-subtly polka'ed glassware from Abigails (not to mention the lovely floral-inspired votive holders by Bliss Studio and must-have Heritage plates by Pom Pom at Home. Splash a few polka dots around your own dining or entertaining space and see if you don't immediately feel happier because of these little 'bubbles'....we'll bet you do!
